WHAT IS THIS WORKSHOP ABOUT?
BRING YOUR
CHARACTER TO LIFE
If you love 3D animation and want to discover how your favorite animated characters are made, this workshop is for you!
We'll explore the magic behind animated movies, not just the cool 3D tools, but also how to build exciting stories. You'll discover a whole new way to express your creativity and bring your imagination to life.
We'll start with simple shapes and learn how combining them can create amazing characters. Step by step, we'll explore fun tools together and watch your ideas take shape right before your eyes!
HOW IT WORKS?
THE PROCCESS
Every great character starts the same way — a rough idea on paper. Here's how we get from that to a fully sculpted, rendered 3D model in 6 weeks
CONCEPT & STORYTELLING
We start analog — pencil, paper, and ideas. What does your character feel? What world do they live in? Simplicity over complexity always wins at this stage.
WEEK 1
FROM 2D TO 3D
We jump into Nomad Sculpt and translate your drawing into 3D shapes. Learn form, proportion, and character anatomy through hands-on building.
WEEK 2-4
RENDER & PRESENTATION
Materials. Lighting. Final render. You leave with your 360 turn table render character and FBX file — ready to import into Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, or any 3D software.
WEEK 5-6

FAQ
-
An iPad and an Apple Pencil
Your iPad charger (to keep your battery from running out)
An iPad stand, or any flat/slanted surface you feel comfortable drawing on
-
Great news — app with no subscription! You'll just need to buy Nomad Sculpt - CHF 18.00 once from the Apple App Store or Android. It's a small one-time payment, and you own it forever.
-
You'll need a tablet with a pressure-sensitive stylus. While a Samsung Galaxy Tab could technically work, we strongly recommend an iPad + Apple Pencil — the course is taught on iPad, and I don't have experience troubleshooting Android devices.
HARDWARE & SOFTWARE
-
We recommend the workshop for kids ages 12 and older. At this level, we assume participants are comfortable using iPads and other software, and can follow along in English. Younger kids may still enjoy it, but the pace and instructions are best suited for ages 12+.
-
No previous experience needed! The only requirements are motivation and curiosity. If you show up excited to learn and explore, you'll have a great time — regardless of your skill level.
-
